Description
The processes by which the embryonic brain grows are highly coordinated and integrated events. This talk will outline aspects of cortical development through confocal microscopy and magnetic resonance imaging of embryonic mouse and fetal sheep brain. Mechanisms by which interneurons migrate and the cortex folds are examined through mathematical modelling, resulting in interesting insights into the biophysical processes at play in the developing brain.
