Description
I start by
discussing the issue of boundary conditions in
quantum cosmology,
which will be deepended by the contributions in the
afternoon
session. I then discuss at length one of the most
important
conceptual problems: the quantum-to-classical
transition. I give a
brief review on the situation in quantum mechanics
and then turn to
quantum cosmology. The key idea in understanding
the
quantum-to-classical transition is decoherence. I also
discuss the
problem of time and attempts to understand the origin
of
irreversibility in quantum cosmology.
