Description
At the seminar I will present some recent advances in exploring physics of the Planck epoch obtained within loop quantum cosmology. I will begin by discussing the issue of singularity resolution in homogeneous models, possibility of generating inflation and observational tests. Subsequently I will focus on the analysis of inhomogeneities. As we will show, perturbative inhomogeneities in loop quantum cosmology generate metric signature change with an intermediate state of asymptotic silence. We propose a model of spontaneous symmetry breaking which may explain microscopic nature of these phenomena. The effects of signature change and asymptotic silence are related with defamation of the Dirac algebra of constraints. Based on this, we study consequences on deformation of the Poincare algebra. New possible relations between approaches to quantum gravity emerge from these investigations.
