Impact of the run-1 supersymmetry searches in ATLAS

Description
Supersymmetry is a theoretically favored framework for extending the Standard Model of particle physics. This has been thoroughly tested with the data of the first LHC run, with the ATLAS experiment performing an intensive search for a large set of possible supersymmetry signatures. No significant signals of supersymmetry have been found in any of the searches, putting significant limits on supersymmetry at the electro-weak energy scale. I will review the current status of the experimental searches, highlight potential places where supersymmetry could still be hiding and briefly review the prospects for the upcoming LHC runs.
