During last years Astrobiology Graduate School
kick-off meeting on 16 October the lack of inter-departmental
collaboration was identified as an important shortcoming and it was
decided that we should work on this. During the last faculty meeting on 10
December a working group was assembled consisting of Bitte, Nils, Wolf,
Garrelt, and Henrik. The purpose of this group is to plan and organize
an overnight meeting of all participants associated in a broad sense with
the graduate school. The meeting will consist of two plenary sessions and
of several sessions for group work. The size of a group could be anywhere
between 2 and 7 or so, and it would consist of people from at least two
different departments. The aim of each group is to work out a research
topic that is clearly relevant to astrobiology, and could potentially
lead to a publication in one of the astrobiology main-stream journals.
The days Thursday-Friday have been deemed optimal for most of us.
The venue is Skebo gard, and we would be picked up by bus at Central Station
at 10 am. So, the schedule would be something like this:
