Description
New cooling techniques combined with Feshbach resonances to tune the coupling strength between atoms, has enabled the creation of fermionic superfluids in ultra-cold atomic gases. I will give an overview of this rapidly developing field of ultra-cold Fermi gases and towards the end of my talk I will discuss the physics in optical lattices in greater detail. In particular, I will outline the expected phase-diagram for two-component systems with population mismatch.
