Description
Neutrinos are key particles in the core collapse of massive stars as well as in compact binary mergers. Neutrinos affect the stellar dynamics and drive the formation of new elements. Recent developments on the role of neutrinos in these sources will be reviewed. The neutrino detection perspectives will also be outlined.
