Description
In this three part talk I will: (1) Consider some recent puzzles that analyses of MRI numerical simulation have revealed and how they may have unexpectedly revealed the importance of large scale magnetic fields for accretion disks; (2) Discuss the importance of dynamos in planetary nebulae engines and how they motivate further study of "transient dynamos" not usually the focus of traditional dynamo applications; (3) Emphasize the importance of magnetically dominated dynamos in astrophysics: While most astrophysical dynamo research focuses on flow dominated field amplification most observations measure the field in magentically dominated coronae. Magnetic helicity evolution is a unifying link between flow dominated dynamos, coronal field amplification, and laboratory plasma dynamos. More work on the magnetically dominated regime of coronal field evolution via magnetic helicity evolution is warranted.

This is a lecture in connection with the Nordita program on Turbulence and Dynamos.
