Description
The last five years have seen the first direct detection of gravitational waves (GWs), the first detection of an electromagnetic (EM) counterpart to a GW source, and the first detections of strongly lensed supernovae. Together, these breakthroughs suggest that detections of strongly lensed GWs and their EM counterparts may be feasible in the not too distant future. I will review the challenges inherent in this detection, discuss recent progress, and describe the path to first detection.
