Dark matter will be discovered through the usual 3-pronged approach (direct detection, indirect detection, collider searches), we'll keep learning more about dark energy's properties from its effects on the cosmological background expansion, and we might detect the imprint of inflationary gravitational waves on the CMB: provocatively and simplifying quite a bit, this is the earworm song playing in our head today, but is it all there is? In this colloquium, I'll touch upon different ways to search for fundamental physics, which are somewhat "off the beaten track". From black hole shadows to terrestrial searches for dark energy, from model-agnostic cosmological tests to new ultralight particles, there should hopefully be a little something to satiate the research appetite of most people at OKC!
