Discussed a recap of current topics before the summer
- Handling of LO diagram interference in MG. Recommended re-weighting procedure available on the MG wiki. Somewhat involved to implement. Luca having ideas that might be interesting to test. Re-weighting will be used as primary option. Tom will need this for the SM MC re-weighting tool.
- Matching SMEFT-simplified. Ready to be tested for the scalar case. For VLQ procedure known, but not ready. Might consider do full iteration of the scalar case at this point.
- Tom will implement re-weighting for HEFT. Eliel working on an overview of SMEFT-HEFT that would be very useful for general understanding of the model differences. One example is that work on HEFT often assumes custodial symmetry which introduces strong restrictions compared to the general case.
- Eliel is active within GAMBIT. Introducing EFT in GAMBIT interesting but would involve a lot of work. Something perhaps to keep our minds open for in the future.
