Description

Abstract: The tricritical Ising model is a two-dimensional conformal minimal model. I will present exact results for the leading and subleading order and disorder operator form factors in the flow generated by the leading thermal operator a.k.a. the E7 model. The exact results can be checked using the delta theorem and truncated Hamiltonian methods. In the ordered phase of the E7 model, there are two degenerate ground states. The degeneracy is lifted for nonzero coupling of the leading/subleading order operator, leading to the presence of a false vacuum and forcing the confinement of domain walls to mesons. I will present the semi-classical meson spectrum compared to Hamiltonian truncation results. In the subleading case, mesons are present for any ratio of the two couplings. This happens because the pure magnetic perturbation also has degenerate ground states and the degeneracy is lifted by the thermal perturbation.
