Ever since the first discoveries of exoplanets nearly thirty years ago, their properties have continued to surprise. CHEOPS is a space telescope specifically dedicated to characterise exoplanets. After two years in space, CHEOPS has found a number of strange new worlds, including some that still defy explanation. In this talk we will dig into some of those surprising exoplanetary systems and look into future plans to improve our understanding of the wild diversity of exoplanets we now know to exist.
