In this talk I discuss some recent developments in the study of quantum fields on dS spacetimes and it’s relationship to the representation theory of SO(1, d+1). We will discuss subtleties in the treatment of gauge fields, possible resolutions and how a proper treatment of the euclidean sphere gives hints of new features that have yet to be properly understood.
