Hilbert space fragmentation, a generic mechanism of ergodicity breaking in closed quantum systems, has been a subject of research along other mechanisms such as many body localisation (MBL). I will introduce the concepts of dynamical thermalisation, weak and strong Hilbert space fragmentation and localisation. We will then look at a class of models that is commonly studied in the context of fragmentation, for which the phenomena of strong fragmentation and localisation seem to be coincidental. In order to establish their independence, we consider an extended Fermi-Hubbard model and use a combination of analytical and numerical techniques to analyse the possibility of crossovers between localised and de-localised dynamics.
