Description
In a CMB Telescope, no single optical modeling technique captures all of the systematics (such as stray lights from scattering/reflection/thermal emission, inclusion of complex absorbers/ARCs structures in full scale telescope simulation etc). Geometrical Optics (GO), Physical Optics (PO), and Method of Moments (MoM) each rely on approximations that leave parts of the problem inaccessible. I will present MeepSAT (MEEP Simulation and Analysis for Telescopes), a open source full-wave, time-domain 2D simulation framework for CMB Telescopes and an addition to the existing set of techniques that will help us closing the gaps in understanding some of these systematics.
