Description
I am interested in understanding how stellar mass loss contributes to the circulation of matter in the nearby Universe. Stars undergoing mass loss may produce circumstellar dust shells, which can be observed in the infrared wavelengths.
In this talk, I will introduce my planned research using AKARI all-sky maps. I plan to develop a model for circumstellar dust shells and use it to search for and characterize such structures around stars in the AKARI data.
I would also like to discuss the possibility of using Commander products for this search, and whether the Commander framework could be useful for the dust-shell modeling and analysis.
