Description
Gaussian disorder is used to descibe several chaotic and non-integrable properties of quantum many-body systems. Most other disorders lead to similar physical properties (especially for large systems with many degrees of freedom) due central limit effects. Going beyond Gaussian (and central limit) disorders provides an avenue for exploring physics outside Gaussian universality. Focus on uncorrelated disorder, I will present a strongly correlated quantum many body model of fermions with non-central-limit disorder. This will allow us to explore several non-Gaussian properties, such as non-maximal chaos in an otherwise maximally chaotic systems. I will also discuss a solvable limit of this model, and analyses of spectral and dynamical chaos in that. Finally, I will demonstrate emergent non-fermi liquid and spin-glass effects arising due to the disorder modification, without any structural changes in the system.
