Multi-instanton and string loop corrections in toroidal orbifold models

Description
I discuss the structure of multi-instanton and string loop
corrections to the Kahler potential and the gauge kinetic function in
type I toroidal orbifold models. For that aim, perturbative
calculations of the physical gauge couplings on the heterotic S-dual
are exploited, whenever such a perturbative description is available.
The resulting corrections could play an important role in
phenomenological models.
