Gravitational wave emission from neutron stars

Neutron stars represent ready made laboratories to probe extremes of gravity, temperature, pressure and magnetic field strength. In this talk I will describe how gravitational wave observations of these objects could help us look inside these stars, and gain information that we could never learn from electromagnetic observations alone.
