KCSE Science Day on Numerical Analysis: The Core of e-Science
During this event internationally known experts will present their views on history, current status and future of modern numerical methods and its applications in natural and engineering sciences. An integral part of this event will be presentations by KCSE students, which are related to usage of high performance computing in their PhD studies. On behalf of KCSE, we would like to ask KCSE students to submit short descriptions of their work using the link on the left.
Invited Speakers: Laurette Tuckerman Ecole supérieure de physique et de chimie industrielles (ESPCI), Paris:<it>Bifurcation analysis for timesteppers</it> Bertil Gustafsson Uppsala University: <it> Scientific Computing from a historical perspective</it> The aim of this event is four-fold. We intend

Using a linear stability analysis based on an Arnoldi-time-stepper method, the most dominant global mode is extracted (lower panel). It is techniques like this that will be discussed during the KCSE Science Day. |
