Description
I will first review some of the fluctuation relations
involving the work done on a microscopic system by an
external force, and show how they have been used to evaluate
the free energy of bio-polymers such as proteins and nucleic
acids.
I will then discuss some more recent results concerning the
thermodynamic properties of molecular motors.
