Description
We study a Fermi surface coupled to fluctuations of a
critical order parameter in 1+2 dimensions. The limit of
vanishing fermion flavor number gives a controlled way of
studying this strongly coupled theory. In this talk I show
how to calculate charge, spin and pairing susceptibilities in
this limit and find that the critical fluctuations induce
charge/spin density wave order or pairing for come ranges
of parameters. We show that adding some of the Nf
corrections does not change the range of parameters where
these instabilities show up.
