During the last few years the modern methods of quantum field theory have been applied to compute in a more efficient way classical gravitational scattering and emission of gravitational way. Paolo Di Vecchia who has recently been working in this field will introduce us at an informal level to how we can learn about the gravitational 2-body problem using these methods, and what else might be done in future.
