Description
I will review recent developments in techniques for the computation of scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory, and their application to the modelling of black-hole binaries and their waveforms.
I will show the computation of a two body Hamiltonian, and a scattering angle in the second post-Minkowskian approximation. Through this relatively simple example we will illustrate the use of spinor helicity, amplitudes bootstrap, double copy and unitarity, as well as diverse techniques to translate (the classical limit of) amplitudes into observables.
