Speaker: COST Director Ronald De Bruin
Dr. Ronald de Bruin was appointed Director of the COST Association on 1 June 2016. Before joining the Association, Ronald was Director of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and Head of Department of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA).
Title: Science at the Crossroads: Promises and Perils
Speaker: ISC President-elect Robbert Dijkgraaf
Prof. Robbert Dijkgraaf’s experience enables him to offer a unique perspective in his lecture. In addition to his distinguished career as a physicist and science communicator, he has served as Professor and Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, as well as Minister of Education, Culture, and Science of the Netherlands. He is currently President-Elect of the International Science Council, a member of the Royal Society, and University Professor of “Science and Society from an International Perspective” at the University of Amsterdam.
