Description

Abstract: Motivated by the possible cosmological first-order phase transition origin of the recent evidence of a stochastic gravitational-wave background reported by pulsar timing array experiments, I will focus on the possibility of constructing a full pipeline that connects a given particle physics scenario to its gravitational-wave signature within a 4D semi-analytical framework, thus avoiding computationally intensive simulations. I will then present results obtained by applying it to classically scale-invariant sub-GeV dark sector models with a U(1) gauge symmetry. This framework yields accurate results that can be used in phenomenological studies and allows for an analytic understanding of the connection between particle physics models and their cosmological predictions, reducing the computational time of a MCMC campaign from weeks to minutes.
