Talks
Lectures will take place in Martin Wood Lecture Theatre, located in the Clarendon Laboratory, University of Oxford.

Poster Sessions
Poster sessions will be held in the Foyer in front of the Martin Wood Lecture Theatre.


Public Transport

Oxford is well connected by public transport and is easily accessible from London and other major UK cities.

Within Oxford
Local buses run frequently throughout the city and serve all major university areas. Most colleges and departments are within walking or cycling distance of the city centre.

By Train
Oxford Railway Station has direct connections to London Paddington and London Marylebone, as well as services from Birmingham and other UK cities. 

Airport options
The Oxford Airline coach service provides frequent direct connections between Oxford and Heathrow and Gatwick airports, this is by far the easiest way to travel into Oxford from abroad. Note that while there are fligth to Luton or Stansted Airport the bus connections to Oxford can take up to 4hrs. There are also train connections from London City Airport and Birmingham to Oxford.


Accessibility of Venues

All main conference activities will take place in accessible buildings.

  • Step free access is available to the main entrance of the Department.

  • Lifts provide access to lecture theatres and seminar rooms.

  • Accessible bathrooms are available on the ground floor.

  • The MW Theatre, Beecroft Foyer, and Simpkins Lee Room are accessible via lift.

  • If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact the organisers in advance so we can assist.

Payment Information for UK

The UK currency is the British Pound Sterling GBP.

  • Most shops, restaurants and taxis accept credit and debit cards.

  • Contactless payment is widely used, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.

  • Cash is rarely required.

If you are travelling from abroad, please check any foreign transaction fees with your bank.


Roaming and Mobile Data

Participants travelling from outside the UK should check roaming charges with their mobile provider before arrival.

EU roaming is not guaranteed in the UK. Charges may apply depending on your provider.

Free WiFi will be available at the conference venue.


Passport and ETA Requirements

All participants should check UK entry requirements well in advance.

  • A valid passport is required.

  • Some travellers may require a visa.

  • Some nationalities require an Electronic Travel Authorisation ETA prior to travel.
