Application closed

It is no longer possible to apply for participation in the workshop. The participants have been selected and there is currently also a long waiting list as we unfortunately were not able to accommodate all applicants. Should you wish to be put on the waiting list in spite of the chances of spaces opening up being infinitesimal, please contact Mattias Blennow.

Scope

The focus of this program is the theory and phenomenology of neutrino physics and the role of neutrinos in astrophysics and cosmology. Important issues include extended versions of the Standard Model of particle physics including massive neutrinos, using neutrinos for probing astrophysical environments, and confronting theories with measurements. We intend the program to be a workshop in the real sense of the word, with informal discussion meetings and ample opportunities for research and discussion of common projects.

[Timetable - available from start of the program]

Format

We intend for the scientific program to be a workshop in the real sense of the word, and we will therefore have a limited number of talks each week. Instead we want to provide more time for actual research and discussion of future research projects, to be launched during the workshop, and for collaboration among the participants. In practice, we aim to have a couple of seminars each week during the running time of the program. In addition to the seminars, we intend to have a number of informal meetings and brainstorming sessions to specifically discuss future progress in the various subtopics covered by the program and to have time to facilitate collaborative projects among the participants. There should also be common coffee and lunch breaks.
