Description
Using weakly nonlinear perturbation theory, we study the
(in)stability of anti-de Sitter spacetime under small scalar
field perturbations. We show how to resum secular terms
using renormalization group techniques. A majority of
secular terms that could be present on general grounds given
the spectrum of frequencies of linear AdS perturbations, do
not in fact arise.
