In tensor and matrix models, phase transitions are
understood
as a tuning to criticality of some parameters.
But in field theory phase transitions are usually understood
in terms of
symmetry breaking and translations of the fields
to non trivial vacua. In this talk I will discuss the
relation between
the two points of view.
