Travel advice

Travel from airport
Most international travellers will arrive at Arlanda Airport. From there, travel by train (Arlanda Express) or bus (Flygbussarna) to Stockholm Central Station. The train is fast but somewhat costly. If you are staying at Elite Palace you may considering taking the buses because they have a stop very close to that hotel ("Norra Stationsgatan").

Public transport
Travel in and around Stockholm with buses, subway ("T-bana"), commuter trains, and the occasional tramway is easy with a single prepaid travel card. Buy this in the "SL Center" at the Central Station or in most newsagent's shops such as "Pressbyrån". A 7-day ticket would suit most attendants of the conference. Buying tickets at the subway gates is very expensive and it is not possible at all on buses.

Going to Albanova
The workshop is held in the main building of Albanova University Centre. The main entrance is in a big round part of the building with an astronomical dome on top. The street address which you can feed in your navigational device is "Roslagstullsbacken 21, Stockholm".

We have prepared a map for you. Please refer to this to understand the following.

Suggested ways to get to Albanova before 09:00:
From Elite Palace
a) Walk (1.6 km)
b) Take bus 57 at "Vanadisplan" at 08:11, then change to bus 61 at "Stadsbiblioteket".
c) Walk 500 m and take bus 61 from "Vasaparken" at 08:32.

From Crystal Plaza
a) Walk (1.9 km)
b) Go to subway station "Östermalmstorg", take line 14 towards "Mörby centrum" to "Tekniska Högskolan". Walk from there (10 min) or wait for bus 61.

From Elsewhere
The generic method is to take the "T-bana" to "Tekniska Högskolan". Walk from there or wait for bus 61.
Otherwise investigate the bus system at sl.se/en.

Weather
Weather in Stockholm around Midsummer is difficult to predict. There is always a risk of cool and rainy conditions. What is certain is that the days are long and the nights short and bright!
