Description
There are several problems with modelling massive particles with spin higher than 1 coupled to electromagnetism or gravity. In this talk I will briefly outline these problems, and then show how gauge symmetry can solve some of them. I will also demonstrate that not every choice of gauge symmetry used in the formulation of massive higher spins is
sufficient for this purpose.
