Searching for fast transients from extraterrestrial probes with ExoProbe

Could ET have sent Voyager- or Breakthrough Starshot-like probes to our Solar System? In August 2023, the ExoProbe project launched its first steps towards answering the question.With new methods and instrumentation, the project aims to search for fast transients from extraterrestrial probes near the Earth. The project will investigate transients on subseconds to minutes timescales, aiming to detect those that might be arising due to solar reflections or emissions from ET probes. I will present the scientific rationale behind the project and its current status.
