Description
Certain bacteria can crawl on moist surfaces using a mechanism
that involves extension and retraction of extracellular
pilus filaments.
The mechanism and cell motion has been studied in
various experiments on cell level and on single molecule level,
for example, live cell imaging of pilus dynamics.
This talk presents modeling approaches of the dynamics and
some results that characterize the mechanism of cell motility.
