Description
I will define for a broad class of models the sources and
vevs for asymptotically Lifshitz space-times with critical
exponent z in the range (1,2]. It turns out that the sources
and vevs transform in representations of the Schroedinger
group, with the same critical exponent z, that acts locally
on the sources and vevs. The boundary geometry in all cases
is described by torsional Newton-Cartan geometry. We use
these insights to set up a fluid/gravity correspondence that
allows us to study Lifshitz hydrodynamics of the boundary
field theory.
