Scope

Nordic Quantum is a collaborative academic network dedicated to making the Nordics a global hub for quantum research, technology, and education. We connect researchers, students, and institutions across the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Iceland), building a unified quantum ecosystem with 100+ events a year, 200+ courses, and 100+ open positions at any given time.

In this annual meeting, we will get to know the research and education activities that shape the quantum ecosystem in Iceland – from the Nanotechnology and Materials Science Centre at the University of Iceland, to the Nanophysics Center at Reykjavík University, to the Quantum Simulation and Data Science Lab in IHPC. Moreover, we will discuss how to better collaborate within the Nordic Quantum ecosystem, in terms of master’s and PhD education, conferences and events, talent retention, and ties between academia and industry. We will feature a session about the newly EU-funded project “European Quantum Academy”, in which Nordic Quantum will take the role of coordinating the activities in the Nordic region.

This meeting is open for registration to anyone who would like to be more involved in shaping the Nordic Quantum ecosystem. There is no registration fee, but everyone should cover their costs for accommodation and travel to the venue. Registration deadline: 29 April 2026.
