Adiabatic electron pumps have been theoretically proposed
and experimentally realized some time ago. Here,
non-adiabatic effects are discussed. It will be shown that
one can control the direction of the induced current by
changing the driving frequency. This surprising observation
is related to a rectification effect in the non-adiabatic
regime.
