The meeting dinner will be held at restaurant "Blå Porten" on Djurgården. The entrance to the restaurant is through the gate in the brick wall, hidden behind the trees on the photo.
Weather permitting we will be dining in the restaurant garden, if not there is lots of space inside. Djurgården is one of the recreational areas of Stockholm, time and stamina allowing you will find that the area is very nice to explore, either before or after the dinner.
Apart from walking, there are three ways to get to the restaurant using public
transport:
- Tram no 7 leaves from Sergels Torg, at the very centre of town. You
reach Sergels Torg by any of the underground lines, go to T-Centralen
and choose the exit towards Sergels Torg.
The tram stop is located just behind the large glass sculpture. You should get
off the tram at the stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund. Tickets can be bought
on-board, from the conductor who will be passing through. Ordinary SL tickets or
travel cards are valid.
- Bus no 44 leaves from the AlbaNova
centre, and passes the hotel
Arcadia en route.
You should get off the bus at the stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund. NB! You must have a valid ticket before boarding the
bus!
- You can take the ferry-boat Djurgårdsfärjan
from Slussen (reachable by underground, all "green" and
"red" lines). Descend
at Djurgården/Allmänna Gränd,
walk the small alley up from the water and turn left. Tickets are bought in the
ticket booth before boarding the boat. SL tickets are not valid.
