Description
Higher spin AdS/CFT is intriguing: The phase transition in the boundary theory has been interpreted as a mysterious Planck scale transition in the bulk, rather than as a Hawking-Page transition between blackbody radiation and a black hole. A rich spectrum of heavy operators in the boundary theory have often been overlooked, but we find that the heavy states are closely related to the phase transition.
Independently of these observations, we try a new picture which recovers the duality of the boundary phase transition with a Hawking-Page transition at the AdS scale.
