Description
I will discuss the concept of generalised global symmetry,
which describe the conservation law associated to dynamical
extended objects, and their implementation in holography. I
will also discuss its application in the effective theory of
matter in the presence of strong dynamical magnetic field as
well as the incommensurate phase which breaks the
translational symmetry spontaneously
