Stockholm Summer School on Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics 2010

Europe/Stockholm
Description

Venue

Alba Nova, Stockholm, Sweden

Scope

The aim of this school is to gather leading experts in quantum optics and nanophotonics to give lectures. These lectures will lead motivated graduate students and promising post doctoral fellows from basic concepts to the most challenging problems in cutting edge research.

The lectures cover topics in Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics, including:
Nonlinear optics
Optical cavity QED
Circuit QED
NanoOptics
Quantum dots and Quantum wires
Quantum control
Multiphoton interferometry
BEC and optical lattices
Quantum communication and cryptography

PhD students and post doctoral fellows are particularly encouraged to attend the summer school.
The successful student will be credited with 7.5 ECTS credits in terms of an Advanced Quantum Optics and Nanophotonics course from Stockholm University.
